Luana-Prictor-headshot-2014-200Luana Prictor - Soprano

Luana has been involved in choral music since high school, touring nationally and internationally with both her school choirs and the NZ Secondary Students’ Choir. It wasn't until university, however, that she made her first foray into early music through studying Bachelor of Music in Classical Performance. Somewhat to her surprise, she discovered that the challenge of early music was actually quite enjoyable!

Since those first few (brain-bending) rehearsals, she has performed regularly with Age of Discovery, becoming part of the official vocal ensemble in 2013. Luana also sings with the NZ National Youth Choir, University of Auckland Chamber Choir, Laudamus Ensemble and St. Patrick's Cathedral Vocal Ensemble. When she's not flitting between rehearsals, she is studying towards her Honours degree in German. A self-declared choir geek, she enjoys teaching music almost as much as performing it, and hopes to combine her two passions to work as a language tutor for singers.

Wendy has been a member of the University of Auckland Chamber Choir since 2001*, with the exception of her two and a half-year stint in London (where she sang with Voce Chamber Choir, who were invited to sing back-up for the Rolling Stones at Glastonbury!).  When she is not pretending to be a rock star**, Wendy is busy fitting in her love for travel with her career as a corporate and commercial lawyer.

* despite not being a student for all of that time – Wendy would like it to be known that she completed her BCom (majoring in Management and International Business), LLB(hons) and LLM(hons) degrees within the usual timeframes.  ** choral singer
